Responsibilities: As Practice Administrator, you would initially be working at and beyond the level of clinical practice manager II, responsible for managing the operations of the medical clinic and facilitating collaboration between the clinic and the research group. You will have opportunities for professional advancement.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Ability to guide and assist our team in building a new clinical medical practice: Prior experience in opening a small start-up medical practice is essential. We intend to build a medical practice from one or two providers to microhospital (8 to 25 bed). We need a manger who can expand with the task.
2. Direction & Research Collaboration: Providing logistical and conceptual leadership to the medical clinic and research teams. This includes the integration of research findings into the clinical practice, as well as facilitating patient-centered care within the research practice.
3. Administrative Management: Overseeing daily administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, medical coding, billing, and insurance claims processing. Implementing efficient systems to streamline workflow and optimize patient experiences. Setting up front and back office operations.
4. Staff Supervision: Recruiting, credentialing, training, and managing a diverse team of medical professionals, researchers, and support staff. Conducting performance evaluations, offering professional development opportunities, and addressing any personnel issues that may arise..
5. Financial Management: Working closely with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets for both the clinic and the research group. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and optimizing revenue generation.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Staying up-to-date with healthcare regulations, research ethics and compliance standards. Ensuring the clinic’s provider and research group’s adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines, within the medical, biomedical, and anatomical donation industries, in collaboration with appropriate legal support.
7. Patient & Participant Experience: Developing and implementing initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience in collaboration with business stakeholders. Monitoring client feedback and implementing changes to improve satisfaction levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management with significant medical practice experience. Certified Medical Practice Executive and/or Certified Physician Practice Manager certification preferred (CMPE). Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of five years experience in medical office or practice management.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster a culture of innovation, compassion, and excellence.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, Electronic Medical Records, and medical billing processes. (Practice Fusion experience desired)
Excellent organizational, communication, and open-minded problem-solving skills, with evidence of such skills in one’s experience being an asset.
Familiarity with biomedical research compliance desired.
The ability to adapt to a dynamic startup environment and manage competing priorities.
