    Responsibilities

    • Understands and applies basic scientific techniques
    • Uses basic science knowledge to learn techniques/methods of the lab
    • Operates variety of laboratory instruments
    • Performs cell culture experiments
    • Performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research.
    • Sets up and prepares routine experiments as directed
    • Executes protocols of non-routine experiments
    • Prepares lab reagents, chemicals, instruments and equipment
    • Understand the role of senior lab members and accepts constructive guidance. 
    • Identifies and resolves common problems involved in routine research assays. 
    • Performs related laboratory maintenance, participates in cleaning rotation of common laboratory space/equipment and monitor inventory of supplies. 
    • Catalogs and labels laboratory samples. Helps with maintaining and organizing inventory of samples, and with managing inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
    • Maintains detailed laboratory records of experiments and their results.
    • Operates and communicates effectively in a group, team-oriented working environment.
    • Works collaboratively with others in the lab to generate data for publications.
    • May perform independent literature searches
    • Maintains and orders supplies 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline, preferably in Cell Biology, Biotechnology.
    • 3-5 years in related field.
    • Experience with Stem Cells preferably IPSC
    • Experience with Cell Cultures
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member 
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks independently
    • Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical problems
    • Demonstrated competence in research techniques and methodologies
    • Sound judgment, positive attitude, and creative outlook required.
    • NIH experience preferred.
