ResourceOne is looking for a Bindery Supervisor to join the Team!

Job Summary: Make sure all products coming out of the bindery department are correctly processed. Advising the team on what equipment to run and making sure all the equipment is in working order.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversee Bindery department Operations as needed

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide quality leadership, knowledge, and skills to the bindery employees
• Creates a motivating work climate to achieve a teamwork environment
• Must be able to use good judgment when analyzing facts and solving problems and have the ability to make decisions in a timely manner
• Coordinates and schedules work to meet tight deadlines in the most efficient and cost effective way possible
• Work with other production leaders to resolve daily production issues such as material, delivery, quality and employee performance.
• Identify gaps in production that prevent production targets from being achieved.
• Perform tasks necessary to ensure assigned team has the parts, tools, and resources necessary to accomplish their assigned work, allowing them to stay on task.
• Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training to those standards, training in operation and inspection techniques, and use of tools/data.
• Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one's own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.
• Proactively address substandard performance, conducts performance reviews, coach's team for development.
• Provides information to estimating, job planning, csr and sales on better ways to produce product.
• Routinely develops ideas and solutions using continuous improvement tools and techniques to improve areas.
• Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging associates to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
• Communicates with team leaders to ensure changes are implemented and sustained.
• Assure adherence to cross training of employees. Ensures adherence to product quality standards.
• Coordinate personnel needs between areas to ensure optimization of customer needs.

• Promptly completes first report of injury and thoroughly investigates any work place accidents or illnesses.

• Consistent and Reliable attendance is mandatory
• All other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with basic computer skills
• Thorough and satisfactory knowledge of all relevant mail services processes, inkjetting, inserting, tabbing, affixing, folding, sorting etc.
• Thorough knowledge of the equipment used in bindery department
• Very strong leadership skills and quality decision-making ability
• Must be able to take direction and communicate effectively with Mailshop and Operations Manager

• Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems, make decisions, and direct action

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-3 years production experience a plus
• Management experience desired

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to consistently lift 50lbs
• Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and move about the facility
• Required to grip twist and turn both hands for long periods of time

Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
