Bindery Technician jobs in Ohio
Bindery Technician performs various machine and manual operations to complete print binding and finishing processes. Completes tasks including measuring, cutting, collating, inserting, folding, stapling, or gluing to produce finished bound products. Being a Bindery Technician sets up, operates, tends, and maintains bindery equipment. Inspects equipment for malfunctions, troubleshoots and resolves problems. Additionally, Bindery Technician follows all required quality and safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Bindery Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description:
Lift, sets-up & load stacks of signatures, cards, inserts, per-gathers and/or other miscellaneous product from stacked skids of products into designated pockets/feeders on inserters, stitches, mailers and/or other small machines for assembling & finishing the customer’s products. Moves skids &/or pallets of product/materials using material handling equipment in a safe manner by adhering to the operating instructions& procedures of each piece of equipment
Requirements:
Have the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Use material handling equipment. Be able to work overtime as needed. Complete additional tasks as assigned.
