TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (CLASS A) - COPIER / BINDERY TECHNICIAN
Full Time 260 days/8 hrs/day
Operate commercial copiers, digital printers, and bindery/finishing equipment to produce print materials in accordance with job specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Digital Printing

Operate digital presses/commercial copiers (b/w and color)
- Operate wide format printers
- Verifies size, color, and type of paper and color of ink from job order.
- Performance preventative maintenance on equipment as needed
- Organizes and prepares print materials for shipment
- Evaluates print materials for purposes of quality control and fixes materials not in conformance with order specifications
- Record daily production.
- Clean work area around production equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Bindery/Finishing
- Feed covers, signatures, and sheets into various machines for collating, stitching, trimming, folding, ruling, stapling, roughing, indexing, gluing, and perforating operations.
- Performs other finishing functions (collation, labeling, packing, etc) to prepare print materials for shipment
- Paper drill – set up to drill 1-3 holes in accordance with job specifications.
- Wide format cutter - set up and run wide format cutter for various cuts
- Cutter – able to set and trim paper for jobs at correct size
- Folder – able to set folder for various types of paper and foldsPerforms preventative maintenance on all bindery equipment as needed
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with machinery listed above. Ability to work independently. Well organized and efficient. Ability to work cooperatively with staff. Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the day. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building.
Rate of pay: $17.64/hour and up, DOQ, plus benefits.
Start Date: ASAP after closing.
