ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Bindery Operator is responsible for completing all finishing services for press and digital printing projects in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Perform cutting, UV coating, and handwork jobs

• Check accuracy of work pertaining to the job
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the preventative maintenance chart
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated
• Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set up and company procedures
• Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Cleans work area around machine
• May make ready bindery equipment and work stations
• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

• Prior experience operating paper cutter a plus
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong attention to detail
• Extensive attention to detail
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to remain calm and reasonable amidst tense or stressful situations
• Ability to relate to people in an open, friendly and accepting manner
• Willingness to cross train into other areas as needed
• Produce jobs with high quality standards with maximum efficiency and minimum waste
• Follows, implements standard operating procedures

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
