Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Manager to lead our billing team in the healthcare industry. The Medical Billing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the medical billing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of revenue cycle processes within healthcare organizations, along with exceptional leadership and analytical skill. Your role will be crucial in ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services provided.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of medical billers and coders, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure productivity and accuracy.
• Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
• Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 coding systems.
• Oversee the submission of claims to insurance companies, government payers, and other third-party payers in a timely manner.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate documentation.
• Review and analyze denials and rejected claims, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future errors.
• Process payments from insurance companies and patients, and post them to patient accounts.
• Prepare and send patient statements for outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of all billing activities.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-9.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing practices, and proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
• Strong understanding of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills..
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare billing practices.

This is an in-person position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
