Billing Systems Analyst jobs in Santa Clarita, CA

Michael Sullivan & Associates LLP is seeking a full-time Billing Analyst with workers' compensation experience to join our billing team. The Billing Analyst maintains a close professional relationship with the Senior Billing Analyst and the Billing and Collections Supervisor.

The Billing Analyst performs billing and collection activities in accordance with prescribed procedures of the firm under the supervision of the Billing Supervisor; checks and verifies attorney billing against client terms; assists in the implementation of client electronic billing systems; enters and submits billing into manual and electronic billing systems; manages accounts receivables and collections; acts as a liaison between client adjusters and firm attorneys/hearing reps/legal assistants. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing and processing monthly invoices
• Reviewing and processing all billing transactions
• Timely processing and reconciling of accounts receivables
• Identifying and collecting past due balances
• Contacting clients to explain and to resolve billing/payment discrepancies
• Working with attorneys and office supervisors to maintain compliance with client billing guidelines
• Providing timely and effective customer service to clients for requests, inquiries or issues concerning any items with their accounts
• Monitor status of submitted invoices through the eBilling process, removing obstacles when appropriate, until payment is received.
• Maintaining processing cycle time standards and production due dates as set forth by management (meet deadlines)
• Train team members
• All other duties or tasks, as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and experience:

• Strong attention to detail essential to success
• Highly organized while working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with attorneys and clients
• Intermediate level proficiency in Excel
• Experience doing data entry into computerized systems and databases
• Willing to train team members
• Internally driven
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Prior billing/collection experience
• Prior e-billing experience utilizing software such as Tymetrix, Legal X, Collaborati, Legal Solution Suites, Legal Case Cost, and Counsellink, among others
• College degree (business-oriented degree preferred) or equivalent work experience

Additional Attributes:

• Experience with Tabs3/Practice Master software is desirable.
• Experience with eBilling Hub
