Beverage Manager - Casino manages all activities of the beverage function for the organization. Identifies, evaluates and develops strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction with the department's services. Being a Beverage Manager - Casino ensures compliance with all food and beverage regulations. Monitors equipment and inventory levels and takes appropriate action. Additionally, Beverage Manager - Casino may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to the head of the unit/department. The Beverage Manager - Casino supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     The Beverage Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Beverage Department. QCBR’s Beverage Manager should be always professional and possess good communication skills. QCBR’s Beverage Manager must display integrity and honesty in all aspects of employment while providing “royal” treatment of all guests and encourage repeat business.
    BEVERAGE MANAGER
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position.)
    • Manage daily operations of the beverage department
    • Train, coach, evaluate, and monitor assigned beverage staff
    • Schedule beverage staff for business needs and special events
    • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring employees’ time
    • Establish and maintain sufficient par levels in all areas including storage, land base bars, and casino bars
    • Manage and maintain effective requisitioning system for all beverage outlets
    • Ensures beverage and labor cost are in accordance with budgeted guidelines
    • Routinely conducts beverage audits to ensure all beverages served in accordance with department guidelines
    • Ensures all beverage sales are conducted through the Point of Sale system
    • Addresses customer issues concerning delivery of beverage service
    • Conducts routine inspections and monitor beverage service to ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards and local alcohol regulations
    • Perform daily inventory of beverage items
    • May be required to perform duties outside of normal job description where in the Company’s judgment it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or improved customer service
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred
    • Three (3) plus years in a leadership role within a restaurant and/or bar establishment
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
    • Proven managerial and critical thinking skills required
    • Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English
    • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills
    • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift and mobility to move easily around entire property
    • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
    • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality
    • Measurable objectives as defined on annual Performance appraisal
    • Teamwork – ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day to day operations
    • Guest feedback through comment cards, letters
    • Financial results that meet or exceed budget expectations for revenue generation and cost control
    • Effective labor management including efficient scheduling based on guest traffic patterns and overtime within property guidelines
    • Development of team to include completion of all required training and knowledge of all policies and procedures relating to their positions
    • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
    • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
