Bereavement Coordinator jobs in South Dakota
Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Job Satisfaction:#Each day you will positively impact each individual you serve Job Summary The Bereavement Coordinator is responsible to plan, implement, and maintain a bereavement program to meet the needs of families/caregivers from Avera@Home for up to one year following the death of the individual hospice patient. Education and/or Experience Bachelor#s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Theology, Pastoral Care or a related field is required.# Master#s degree is preferred. Experience with families, caregivers and patients through death/dying issues is preferred. Experience with clinical grief counseling is preferred.# Experience in facilitating grief support groups is preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration Certification in Thanatology is preferred. This position requires a valid driver#s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.# Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with no call involvement; 80hrs/2wks Call time involvement: weekly for home admissions Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
