Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager.     Mt. Carmel Wellness & Community Center is searching for an Event Coordinator for the Downtown Campus. We are seeking someone with effective communication skills, time management and organizational skills and a food handlers' certificate.

    The Event Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations.

    Mission:

    To manage, grow and enhance the Mt. Carmel Community Center's brand through the development of high-quality programming and events at Sister Blandina Garden and the Champions Building.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Build Sister Blandina Garden's brand and signature events to include theater and cultural programming, and fundraising events.
    • Promote and facilitate private parties including weddings, funerals, receptions, family reunions, holiday parties, etc.
    • Work with staff to ensure the proper policies and procedures are followed, paperwork is properly filled out and customer satisfaction surveys are collected.
    • Work with all staff to improve the overall customer experience at Sister Blandina Garden and Champions Building.
    • Establish non-political working relationships and partnerships with Trinidad community groups and organizations.
    • Manage all aspects of events: tour, meet, contract, event set up, execution and evaluation.
    • Recruit vendors, entertainers, volunteers and other participants for Sister Blandina Wellness Expo and any other events.
    • Create new events for Sister Blandina Garden.

    Forecasting/Reporting:

    • Work directly with Director of Operations and Mt. Carmel team in the development of programs and events including accountability, budgeting and assessments.
    • Assist in adjusting monthly forecasts based on historical and projected activity.
    • Keep well-organized files on all programs and activities at Sister Blandina Garden.

    Advertising:

    • Assist in advertising development for programming and events.

    Other Duties:

    • Provide Tours of Sister Blandina Garden.
    • Help with events at Mt. Carmel when needed.
    • Take inventory of any equipment on site monthly.
