Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Provides intakes", psychosocial assessments and community information and referral for grief clients. Provides individual, family and group counseling and support. Assists as needed in department activities, community education, potlucks, volunteer training and community outreach and support. Assists with grief client follow–up and coordination as needed.

    Required qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in LCSW, LMFT," PhD in Psychology or Counseling.

    • One (1) year experience with counseling individuals with bereavement issues and participating in support groups related to loss.

    • Experience in leading grief support.
