Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience:
Prefer Master’s degree (M.A.) in Ed Leadership or equivalent related combination of experience and education.
Certificates, License, Registration:
Eligible for temporary approval as a Special Education Supervisor.

Directly supervises employees assigned; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending the hiring and training of employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
