  • Natural Retreats is hiring an Assistant General Manager to join our Palm Springs, CA team!

    Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will oversee our long-term bookings and liaise with our long-term guests, owners and other stakeholders. The AGM will primarily focus on Guest Services, and  is the main point of contact for our Alaya homeowners and Alaya team. They will perform day-to-day management of the site and its staff and are accountable for the overall performance of the site while on duty. The AGM regularly collaborates with our internal maintenance team, as well as our housekeeping vendors and other important vendors in the market. The AGM will also work closely with Business Development to maintain and expand Natural Retreats’ portfolio of homes in the Palm Springs, CA market and will help manage the onboarding process for our new owners and homes.

    A successful Assistant General Manager will combine outstanding interpersonal skills with considerable organizational ability, commercial acumen, and close attention to detail.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Seek out, secure, develop and manage client relationships
    • Provide oversight and management of the owner/home onboarding process, also acting as the primary point of contact for Palm Springs Owners
    • Act as the destination liaison with the Market Development department to collaborate on recruiting and retaining owners 
    • Work closely with the Director of Operations and General Manager to develop, implement and maintain site-specific procedures which will increase profitability, performance, and efficiencies
    • Work with the General Manager to oversee owner and guest services and fulfill owner and guest requests
    • Assist with all aspects of maintenance, housekeeping management and vendor relationships
    • Inventory control of all guest linens and ordering of other household items
    • Maintaining purchase orders for new homes, as well as inventory
    • Accurately record owner charges on a weekly basis and assist General Manager with monthly owner statements
    • Monitor overall revenue performance on a property-by-property basis
    • Ensure all homeowners receive personalized attention and care and all guests have an AMAZING experience with Natural Retreats from arrival through to their departure
    • Set an example of professionalism by modeling superior work ethic, appearance, timekeeping, preparedness and attributes to gain the trust, confidence and respect of all those who work under the AGM’s direction
    • Participate in the recruiting and onboarding process of staff and independent contractors to ensure they are being deployed in a productive manner 

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diplomas or equivalent
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality, property management, or other related fields.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Computer savvy and able to learn new software programs
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK 

    This is a full-time position. Due to the nature of the job, the AGM should be flexible with their hours. While weekends can be covered on request, they are generally working days and will be busy with guest arrivals and departures. The AGM is allowed two (2) days off per week but should always be available in case of emergency or due to unpredictable guest arrivals. Generally, this will mean a working day of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, although on occasion this may vary according to occupancy levels.
