Benefits Director oversees the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures programs are chosen to be equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and to be cost effective. Being a Benefits Director establishes practices for evaluating existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments. Makes high-level decisions to modify existing benefits programs or institute new ones. Additionally, Benefits Director requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Typically reports to top management. The Benefits Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Benefits Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Responsibilities

    Responsible for administration of employee benefits in all company operations. As needed, provides special guidance and assistance to all company locations on various employee benefit plans. Develops, recommends, and installs approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies, and supervises administration of existing plans. Develops cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee. Director is familiar with contracts including provider and vendor contracts as applied to employee benefits.

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    Required qualifications:

      A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in Benefits Administration, OR.
    1. A master's degree in Human Resource Management and four (4) years of experience in Benefits Administration, OR.
    2. Any appropriate combination of education and experience.

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $118,144.00 to $203,840.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Additionally, employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the Company's annual discretionary bonus program. Discretionary bonuses, if any, are based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to individual and Company performance.
