Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Coordinator to join our team. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your role will involve data collection, communication with employees, and handling various administrative tasks related to benefits.
Duties:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits
- Collect and maintain accurate employee data for benefits enrollment and changes
- Communicate benefit options, eligibility requirements, and enrollment deadlines to employees
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and provide guidance on available options
- Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Prepare and distribute benefit communications, such as open enrollment materials and plan summaries
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, such as ACA reporting and EEOC filings
- Process workers' compensation claims and assist employees with related paperwork
- Utilize HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle, ADP) to manage employee benefits data
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and adhere to privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Stay updated on changes in benefit laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Experience:
- Previous experience in benefits administration or a related role is required
- Familiarity with various benefit programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans)
- Proficient in using HRIS systems for data management (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle, ADP)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to employee benefits (e.g., FMLA)
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Ability to negotiate with insurance providers and resolve issues promptly
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
