Join Palms Imaging Center in Oxnard! We are hiring a full time Insurance Benefits Coordinator with variable shifts Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm. You will help patients get the medical procedures they need by contacting a patient's insurance company to verify their coverage levels and work with individuals to educate them on their benefits. Our new staff member will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our clinical and operational team to provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population in an outpatient imaging setting. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 year of recent medical office experience and bilingual (Spanish) required.

Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance coverage, this includes but is not limited to PPO plans, Medicare, Medi-cal, Gold Coast, Clinicas Del Camino Real, and other upon request.
• Submitting for authorization when required by the insurance plan.
• Notify appropriate personnel by making notes of insurance coverage details and/or cash pricing prior to appointment.
• Verify that existing information is accurate (insurance carrier, policy number, patient demographics).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carriers and reimbursement requirements.
• Providing patients with pertinent information regarding their coverage.
• Help patients arrange payment for services that are not covered by their insurance.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and billing office.
