    UCPath is the University of California's shared services center in Riverside, CA. UCPath manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. The staff at UCPath work in a variety of areas including business operations, customer service, quality management, technology, training, human resources and communications.


    Position Summary
    The Benefits Analyst Intern will support our benefits department in managing various duties related to employee benefits. This role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate up to date benefits records, be a part of integrating process improvements and documenting Benefits processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist team in creating and/or updating policies and procedures documents supporting UC Group Insurance Regulations.
    • Engage with different teams (Recon, Interfaces, Audits & Compliance, Systems, Eligibility, ACA, Retirement) to provide input on how to process improve our practices.
    • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with other departments to support Benefits processes.


    Qualifications
    Required

    • Currently enrolled University of California student
    • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
    • Strong writing skills, including the ability to write clear and concise emails
    • Ability to communicate technical information to personnel at various levels in the organization
    • Demonstrate interest in learning in an enterprise environment
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to be flexible and adaptable as priorities evolve
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

    Preferred

    • Pursuing a degree in social sciences, business administration, human resources or a related field

    Education

    • Undergraduate degree in progress or recently completed Bachelor's degree

    ADDITIONAL INFOMRATION

    Internships available for currently enrolled University of California students only. Non-UC students will not be considered.

    Visa sponsorship not available.

    This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at the UCPath Center in Riverside and remote in California.
