    Key Responsibilities:

    Benefits:

    • Work with new hires on enrolling in benefits via the Payroll/HRIS system.
    • Process enrollment changes throughout the year due to qualifying events.
    • Ensure all necessary documentation is obtained as required.
    • ACA administration via the Payroll/HRIS system.
    • Working with our various benefit vendors as needed to ensure file feeds are working as expected and addressing any changes that need to be done.
    • Benefit Audits on periodic basis and some weekly ones to support payroll with deductions.
    • Ensure necessary manual updates/service requests are completed for our 401K when there is a change in status, a death of an employee, etc.
    • Validate and process invoices for our benefit vendors.
    • Work with team members to help them understand our benefits and answer questions.
    • Process termination letters regarding benefit end dates, any conversions needed, etc
    • Spot check COBRA administration that is performed by our Payroll/HRIS vendor

    Other:

    • Administer and process all FMLA paperwork in compliance with the regulation.
    • Administer and process all STD paperwork in compliance with our plan.
    • Process leave (FMLA/LOA) letters explaining timelines and what is required in a timely manner.
    • Work with team member from the beginning of leave until the return from leave.
    • Respond to Ask Here Inquiries on our Payroll/HRIS system in regard to benefits, FMLA, STD, LTD, etc
    • Answer Medical Support Questionnaires.
    • Process Medical Support Orders.
    • Work with team members regarding requirements for them to return to work (which varies based on job duties and length of time out).

    Misc:

    • Provide Switchboard Rotation Coverage which averages 1.5 hours every other week.
    • Learn other areas of HR such as new hires and other items to assist with vacation coverages.
    • Cross training is key in the HR Department so there will be others cross trained to assist with your responsibilities as well.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Ability to learn new programs and applications
    • A desire to provide excellent service to our internal and external customers
    • Ability to apply critical thinking as required
