Summary of Functions

Assists all Kalispel Casino, Market, and RV Park personnel with day-to-day activities by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond in a courteous manner to member and staff questions, complaints, or requests.
• Locate and correct facility heating, ventilation, and air conditioning malfunctions, and adjust HVAC units including system control checks.
• Assist with minor/major building repairs or projects.
• Handle most facility repairs in regards to removing and replacing ceramic tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, ect.
• Check electrical systems such as refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and make minor repairs.
• Check and make minor repairs on general plumbing systems, and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets, and sinks.
• Utilize basic hand and power tools required for general maintenance.
• Complete preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.
• Observe safety practices at all times.
• Insure quality of facility meets or exceeds all set standards.
• Operation of heavy equipment, man lifts, forklifts, and bob cats.
• Move office furniture and equipment as requested.
• Ability to perform problem solving skills in an emergency situation.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Facilities Supervisor

Physical Demands

• Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discrimination in sound.
• Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
• Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
• Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
• Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
• Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
