SUMMARY: The Service Technician is responsible for controlling cost and efficiencies through trouble shooting and maintenance of pneumatic nailers and strapping tools. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associate consistent with Core Behaviors 
• Responsible for promoting culture of safety 
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on pneumatic and cordless nailers and strapping tools  
• Effectively manage time and resources to control cost, enhance efficiencies and meet customer commitments 
• Complete repairs quickly and accurately 
• Conduct proper reporting and sales order process within ERP to close out service call 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Communicate effectively with customers, management, and co-workers 
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, solve problems, and understand necessary service and training manuals 
• Demonstrate a good mechanical and electrical aptitude 
• Hiring Manager willing to train

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• No supervisory responsibility. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

• High School Diploma or GED required  
• 2 years of experience in a similar position preferred. 

REASONING ABILITY:  

• Employee responds to commonly occurring problems/situations for which standards, procedures or precedents sometimes do not exist.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

• Employee is regularly required to speak and hear English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employees are required to use computers and other equipment. 
• Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to _50_ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.
