Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Architectural Job Captain with a strong background in drafting using Revit. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in architectural drafting, with a focus on commercial projects.

As a Job Captain, you will play a crucial role in the production and coordination of design documents, ensuring that projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to client specifications.

If you have 7 years of full-time architectural experience creating construction documents in Revit for commercial projects, preferably in multi-family, you are an ideal candidate for our Job Captain role!

If you have created construction documents in Revit for other types of commercial projects such as senior housing, industrial, higher education, and office we would like to hear from you too!

Requirements :

• Collaborate with project architects and design teams to develop and implement design concepts using Revit.
• Lead the production of construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Coordinate with internal architects, engineers, and construction project managers and superintendents to integrate various building systems into the design.
• Conduct code research to ensure that projects comply with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Review and mark-up drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the coordination of project schedules and budgets.
• Mentor and guide junior staff members.
• Communicate design ideas effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of Revit drafting professional experience with a focus on commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects.
• A strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction techniques for commercial work is essential.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience mentoring and managing junior staff members is a plus.
• LEED accreditation is desirable but not required.
• Must be able to commute to Hooksett, NH-Relocation assistance is not available.
