Position Summary:
The Director of Military Services is responsible for directing and overseeing the therapeutic activities of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals, and objectives. The Director is responsible for oversight of daily operations, groups, and activities. Director contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts, while providing therapeutic support to the program therapists. The Director will collaborate with the House Supervisors, Charge RNs, and unit nursing staff to ensure that quality care is being provided to the patients

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree specializing in social work or a clinical related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure: Current LPC, LPCI, LMSW, LCSW license issued by the State of Texas.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Management of Aggressive Behavior training during orientation week. Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, DSHS, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements required. Preference will be given to candidates that have previous military experience or veteran status.
