Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Description:

    We currently have an opening for a full-time Interim Lodge Director to join our caring team of professionals. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week

    Salary: Starting at $70,000.00 per year

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Develop and maintain administrative and clinical operations that provide the highest quality care and best possible outcomes for the patients. Provide supervision to program staff.
    • Plan and implement program goals, objectives, personnel, resources and equipment. Implement the approved program plan objectives, timetables, expected outcome and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.
    • Oversee the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits. Work may involve directing counselors, clinical staff or other facility / clinic staff involved in the delivery of services through the program. Organizes, manages and coordinates all operational and administrative processes.
    • Develop and implement operating policies and procedures for the program or organization; ensure procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocol, regulations, and standards of care; ensure that operations conform to established environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.     • Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
    • Responsible for an assigned caseload if applicable to the program.
    • Support, teach and act as a program resource for other staff members.
    • Provide direct care relative to diagnosis and therapeutic management independently, using consultation where appropriate.
    • Monitor staff schedules to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are available to facilitate care in a timely manner.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans, develop and maintain and audit charts and records for patients.
    • Serve as liaison and provide consultation with other staff on related issues, regulations, and standards pertaining to area of clinical specialty.
    • Provide outreach services in area of clinical specialty as needed.

    Other Functions:

    • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

    • Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
    • Four or more years’ experience working in behavioral health required.
    • One or more years’ management experience required.
    • Fully licensed (LCPC/LCSW) preferred or within 6 months of employment.

    Licenses/Designations/Certifications:

    • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
    • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
