Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Clinic Director- New Outpatient Clinic

    Horizon Health is seeking a Program Director for our outpatient mental health clinic called Thousand Branches Wellness in San Diego,CA. This is a BRAND NEW clinic opening summer of 2024 and we are looking for someone to join our senior leadership team now to assist with the opening process and oversee the clinic! This leadership position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the assigned location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assessment, development, implementation, and management of outpatient services. Under the guidance of UHS Corporate Outpatient Department this position will be accountable for overseeing, supervising, and monitoring daily operations ensuring clinical and budgetary expectations are met.

    Responsibilities:

    • Site Leadership
    • Responsible for the management and oversight of all employees
    • Organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
    • Coordinate and manage multiple projects and tasks
    • Recruitment, onboarding, and training of new clinicians
    • Curriculum and Service Line Development
    • Group Facilitation and Observation to ensure curriculum integrity is maintained
    • Referral management, assessments, group facilitation and direct individual client contact
    • Interdisciplinary treatment team communication
    • Implement and manage systems to ensure effective communication with clients, families, referral sources and other relevant entities
    • Manage and provide routine reports as requested
    • Fiscal responsibilities and corporate deadlines
    • Census management
    • Safe Work Environment

    Qualifications

    • Master's Degree or higher
    • Active CA Clinical License (LCSW, LMFT LPCC)
    • Able to provide clinical supervision
    • 5-8 years of behavioral healthcare leadership experience

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with Management of clinical and clerical aspects of a behavioral health office
    • Understanding of CA State and The Joint Commission Requirements and Regulations for outpatient Behavioral Health Services
    • Digital, Print and in Personal Marketing
    • Professional Written and Verbal Communication Skills

    Required Behavioral Health Knowledge:

    • Applicable state laws pertaining to Outpatient BH services
    • Corporate expectations, policies, and procedures
