Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or other executive, the Assistant Director of Nursing assists in the planning, directing and coordinating nursing care throughout SJBHR based on the needs of consumers enrolled in clinical programs.
In addition, the Assistant Director of Nursing will assume an active role in improving his/her department outcomes and overall organizational performance through participation in agency quality improvement activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. A minimum of three years registered nurse experience in a psychiatric setting, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity. Valid NJ license as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
