Behavioral Health Director jobs in Pensacola, FL

Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Come join our team as a Behavioral Health Associate at Twelve Oaks Recovery! We are seeking a dynamic BHAs for second (3pm-11pm) and third shift (11pm-7am); every other weekend is required. If you are passionate and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in need through compassionate therapeutic practices while working in a team environment that supports learning and growth, this position is right for you!

    As a Behavioral Health Associate at Twelve Oaks Recovery you will participate in the development and implementation of patients' treatment plan by: 

    • Providing care and close supervision of facility patients and documenting behavior
    • Developing positive relationships with patients and co-workers
    • Following facility policies and procedures implementing treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as necessary.
    • Actively participant as part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction
    • Act as a role model in using appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture.

    Qualifications:

    Education – High School Diploma or GED required.

    Experience – Experience in working with addiction or healthcare settings preferred.

    Certifications - CPR/CPI (offered on site).

    Licenses – Valid Florida Driver’s License.

    Special Requirements - Knowledge of chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation requirements helpful.
