Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     We are looking for Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) to join our team and support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our clients. Current openings for Day, Swing, and Overnight shifts.

    The BHT will provide care and services at the detox and residential levels of care. S/he will help the Health Care Practitioner and LVNs by carrying out patients’ treatment plans. Will be responsible to provide safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Aid in conducting new patient initial assessments and providing orientation to new patients
    • Assess and document patients’ needs and care, collaborating with other staff to manage patient care
    • Observe medications and treatments as ordered by the consulting physician, maintaining accurate records as required according to company policies and procedures
    • Ensure infection control practices and reporting procedures are implemented and maintained
    • Respond to emergencies and initiate action as outlined in company policies and procedures
    • Perform basic health screenings, vital signs, and first aid procedures, as necessary, according to company guidelines
    • Conduct urinalysis test collection according to company policies and procedures
    • Maintain communication with LVNs, supervisor, Health Care Practitioner, and/or other key staff regarding patient care
    • Support program staff with resident de-escalation and crisis management in a manner which fully supports the needs of the resident
    • Ensure patient compliance with facility rules and guidelines
    • Occasionally drive clients to groups/meetings and/or drive clients from/to the airport.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma
    • One years’ experience in the substance abuse field
    • Registered or Certified with a DHCS approved provider
    • A current valid CA driver’s license is required.
    • Submission of DMV driving record also required.
