Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. The Program Director is responsible for providing specialized individual and group therapies for those clients whose diagnosis includes the presence of an alcohol and/or other drug abuse or dependence diagnosis. He or she is also responsible for conducting Chemical Dependency Evaluations and working closely with other treatment team members to address the client’s alcohol/drug issues. He/she functions under the guidance of their licensure, registration and/or certification and in accordance with the regulations, rules, and requirements of State of California and Federal government and accrediting organizations. He or she is additionally responsible for group scheduling, overseeing the alumni program and overall program development.
