Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We are seeking a full-time Director of Clinical Services. The incumbent will ensure quality care to patients by developing, implementing and directing behavioral health treatment programs. This position can be LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT

    Responsibilities

    Join our leadership team at the facility as the Director of Clinical Services (DCS), a pivotal role that drives excellence in patient care. In this influential position, the DCS will guide a team of exceptionally skilled therapists and social workers, playing a vital role in overseeing the delivery of clinical and therapeutic services to our patients. By tailoring clinical care to address individual needs, the DCS will spearhead the integration of evidence-based therapeutic interventions into treatment plans, aiming to alleviate symptoms and bolster resiliency and coping mechanisms. As a respected member of our facility's leadership, the DCS will collaborate closely with the Medical Director, Chief Nursing Officer, and CEO to foster innovation and ensure that our clinical care remains highly effective and deeply compassionate.

     

    · Direct and oversee program operations, including budget management, developing marketing and strategic plans and independent decision making for program requiring clinical expertise.

    · Develop, plan and implement program goals, objectives, personnel, resources and equipment.

    · Provide direction and oversight to staff members.

    · Serve as a member of the facility leadership team.

    · Provide clinical consultation, oversight of case planning and care coordination.

    · Responsible for a limited caseload as needed.

    · Ensure that services are focused on the patients presenting treatment needs and request for service.

    · Direct crisis intervention efforts and intervene as required.

    · Provide staff management to include hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

    · Review caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services.

    · Provide onsite coverage for other programs when needed, develop and execute new programs according to market needs and may provide training, case consultation and on call coverage during and after program hours as needed.

    · Develop and implement operating policies and procedures for the facility.

    · Ensure procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocols, regulations and standards of care.

    · Ensure operations conform to established environmental, safety and infection control requirements.

    · Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

    · Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other Human Services field.
    • LPC/LCSW required.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in Mental Health, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
    • Current Therapist license required
