Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Renaissance Behavioral Health (RBH), a leading community mental health provider in northeast Ohio, is excited to announce Qualified Mental Health Therapist opportunities at our Midtown Cleveland office.

     

    DESCRIPTION

    The successful candidate will provide mental health evaluations and treatments for patients within the greater Cleveland area. Successful candidates will perform diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy treatment, group therapy/counseling sessions, and crisis intervention services.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Functions as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Counselor by performing one or more of the following clinical interventions as appropriate to properly care for RBH patients:

    • Provide screenings, assessments and diagnoses of mental health conditions and functional assessments identifying barriers to improving and maintaining optimal physical health.
    • Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
    • Assist in the detection of “at risk” patients and the development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
    • Provide brief, focused interventions for mental and behavioral health problems and disorders.
    • Meets case load management/productivity expectations as defined for the assigned area.
    • Meets all quality/accountability/documentation requirements for RBH
    • Completes all documentation requirements within specified timeframes.
    • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned. 

     

    COMPENSATION:

    Hourly rate $28 - $38 commensurate with experience

     

     

    EDUCATION:

    Graduated from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a master’s degree in psychology, bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or health-related field.  



    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

    Licensure to practice clinical discipline in Ohio, as applicable, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counseling and Licensed Certified Addiction Counselor preferred (LSW, MSW, LPC, LPCC. LICDC).



    EXPERIENCE:

    A minimum of 2 or more years of clinical experience working directly with clients having mental or substance related disorders and 2 years of group therapy experience using a variety of treatment modalities preferred.
