Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Seeking a Part time second shift clinician in Augusta, GA and surrounding areas. Candidates must meet job and residency requirements for this role. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and staging in an assigned area (if you work between 8a-8p) are required.

    Position Overview

    Serve as first responder, providing community-based, face-to-face clinical assessment, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Mobile Crisis care is provided in community settings including, but not limited to homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings. The ability to respond quickly, professionally, and compassionately is required.

    Requirements

    Education & Credentials

    Master’s degree from an accredited school with a valid license in the state of Georgia as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC (preferred), or an associate level license (LAPC, LAMFT, and LMSW).


    Experience, Skills and Qualifications
    • Minimum one to two years’ clinical behavioral health experience.
    • Experience in assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization skills and familiarity with mental health, addictive disease, and Intellectual or Developmental disability service delivery system required.

    Travel Requirements
    • This is a 100% mobile response position that requires a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
    • First responders must be able to drive in a car for the duration of their assigned shift, if necessary.
    • First responders must be able to drive at any time of day or night, and do so safely and without restriction for length, duration or condition of the drive.
    • At times, driving in heavy traffic or other adverse weather conditions may be required.
