Battery Assembler assembles, bolts, and fastens battery parts with the use of hands, tweezers, or tongs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience. Being a Battery Assembler has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Battery Assembler works under immediate supervision. An assembler is responsible for preparation, sub-assembly and assembly of electrical and mechanical parts to be used in the assembly of FAA approved air ambulance equipment within an AS9100 Quality Management System. This person is able to work without direct supervision.
Competency will be assessed by the department manager at the end of the probationary period utilizing essential duties and responsibilities specific to their job description. Employee competency will be indicated on the employee evaluation form. If competency in essential duties and responsibilities is not met, the department manager will document and
set an appropriate probationary period for re-evaluation.
