Job Title: Barista

Status: Full Time and Part Time

Hiring For:

• Full Time 7am - 3:30pm or 11am - 7:30pm
• Part Time 4pm - 7:30pm

Salary: starting at $12/hr

• Previous work experience as a Barista preferred

What will I do as a Barista with Messiah Lifeways?

• Provide warm greeting to customers as they arrive
• Provide drink recommendations and answer questions regarding drink ingredients
• Take customers orders while paying attention to specific order details
• Prepare requested beverages following the recipe
• Serve beverages and any available pastries
• Keep area clean and sanitized
• Maintain stock of items such as cups, lids, stirrers, straws, etc.
• Provide excellent customer service
• Relay customer feedback to the manager
• Will take orders from customers on computer, and will operate cash register and credit card machines

  Job Summary: The Barista will accurately take orders and provide exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages for residents, family members, and team members. The Barista will educate customers on the drink menu, and make recommendations based on the customer’s preference. The Barista will operate cash registers and credit card machines. Required Skills/Abilities: ? Ability to understand and follow instructions ? Has sensitivity to the needs of the residents and customers ? Ability to cooperate with supervisors and work as a team ? Is friendly and service oriented ? Ability to multitask ? Observes and maintains sanitation standards throughout the department ? Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills ? Strong customer service skills Education/Experience: ? High school diploma or equivalent, preferred ? Previous work experience as a Barista, preferred Job Standards: ? Follow/adhere to the Code of Conduct ? Follow/adhere to organization, federal/state regulations and guidelines, including Resident Rights ? Maintain neatness, cleanliness, good personal hygiene, and a well-groomed appearance, adhering to dress code of the department ?
