Barista greets customers, identifies their needs, and answers questions about menu items. Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, tea, chai, and similar beverages. Being a Barista may prepare and serve limited food items. Records sales, operates a cash register, and follows cash handling policies as required. Additionally, Barista may assist with store set-up, clean-up, and stocking of merchandise. May require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Barista works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, taking orders and preparing drinks, lunch and breakfast items.
To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail when constructing customer drinks and food items. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking and dining experience for our guests.
MUST be able to work Saturdays and Sundays as well as other weekday shifts (6am-2pm) or (1pm-6:30pm) 30-40 hours a week. Note: This position’s compensation includes salary and tips.
