Job Title: Coffee Commissary Barista (Beverly Center)
Reports To: Shop Leads, Regional Leads, Ownership
Department: FOH
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Mandatory participation in monthly coffee education seminars outside of shift structure
Contributes to research and growth of coffee program though assigned projects
MUST maintain a 95% score on bar evaluations
Facilitates training processes as assigned
Ensure customers are warmly received and welcomed; engage the customers in a sincere and friendly manner, including greeting customers with a smile, thanking them for their patronage, and preparing drinks in an expedient manner.
Be extremely punctual, tidy and clean in appearance (adhering to the Coffee Commissary uniform policy at all times).
Ensures work spaces are kept impeccably clean at all times.
Work in a small team to prepare and serve beverages from the coffee bar.
Stay current with Coffee Commissary coffee offerings through tastings and information provided to you by your Shop Lead and the Training Department.
Regularly taste coffee drinks to ensure quality and uphold our standards.
Dial in and serve a variety of coffees in a variety of different brewing methods including but not limited to: espresso, pour over, and cold brew.
Promote an excellent experience for both employees and customers.
Have a clear knowledge on all inventory items.
Cash Handling/Register Operation.
Anticipate customer and store needs by being aware of surroundings.
Checks incoming shipments to ensure accuracy of goods received.
Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
Complete all side work before the end of a shift.
Actively participate in coffee tastings to further product knowledge and help identify any issues or deficiencies.
Educate customers and staff on all coffee and teas carried.
Assist in the training and development of new staff.
Attends all mandatory meetings scheduled by management and ownership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
