Banquet Set-Up Supervisor
Overview: This position is responsible for the physical set up of all group function areas and coffee breaks. Also acts as a supervisor in the absence of the Banquet Set Up Supervisor. Reports to the Banquet Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Checks Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the beginning of each shift to ensure correct set-up to ensure guest satisfaction.
· Supervises staff in the absence of the Banquet Set Up Supervisor.
· Sets up/tears down tables according to BEO specifications in a timely and safe manner.
· Ensures all setups are done to the BEO specifications and/or established Company procedures.
· Ensures all required supplies and equipment is in the room at least 15 minutes prior to event start time.
· Keeps all function rooms and storage areas clean and orderly.
· Assists banquet function guests with any special needs/requests throughout their function.
· Follows all policy, procedures and service standards.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Possess basic reading skills needed to properly read BEOs.
· Ability to multi-task
· Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, frequently squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, balance and push/pull, occasionally bend/stoop, twist, climb and kneel, repeatedly lift/carry up to 25lbs, frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift/carry up to 75 lbs for 8 hour shift
· Possess previous customer service experience preferred
· Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor locations and conditions
· Valid driver’s license
· Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within service times established by the company
· Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays
