Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Banquet Set-Up team member to join our exceptional team at a competitive pay rate ($12/HR Gratuity/Tips) for part-time.

As a Hotel Banquet Set Up team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of events and functions within our hotel's banquet facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to set up, arrange, and dismantle banquet equipment and furniture according to the specifications outlined by event organizers. You will work closely with event planners, caterers, and other hotel staff to create an inviting and functional atmosphere for guests.

Essential Functions

• Event Setup: Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, tableware, decorations, and any audiovisual equipment.
• Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail to ensure that all setups are completed accurately and according to the event specifications and hotel standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments such as catering, housekeeping, and maintenance to coordinate event setups efficiently.
• Flexibility: Be adaptable to last-minute changes or requests from event organizers and be able to quickly modify setups as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of all banquet equipment and furniture, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines while setting up banquet areas, including proper handling of equipment and adherence to fire and safety regulations.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to event organizers and guests, assisting with any special requests or accommodations as needed.
• Efficiency: Work efficiently to complete setups within designated timeframes, ensuring that events start on schedule.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in banquet setup or a similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
