ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains sanitation of kitchen area and equipment by washing dishes, pots, and mopping floors. Disposing of garbage and grease, and performing general cleaning duties. Assists workers engaged in preparing food. Responsible for banquet event setups and breakdowns.
· Maintain standards set by management in scraping, racking, stacking, and washing of china , glassware, and silver
· Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator
· Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage, and steam cleans or hoses garbage containers
· Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment
· Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of work area, table tops , floors and line equipment
· Maintain stock of necessary foods and on shelves
· Assists prep cooks or line cooks in preparing or serving food
· Keeps all refrigeration storage, and working areas in a clean, working condition in order to comply with health dept. regulations
· Checks and controls the proper storage of product
· Checks and maintains all chemicals to be used in kitchen and event center
· Fill soda ice dispenser and bar area with ice
· Take out trash and make sure trash dumpsters are closed and secured
· Keep service door closed at all times
· Familiar with the location of all function rooms and related areas and the various types of workable setups.
· Correctly and efficiently set-up all function rooms according to Banquet Event Order details/diagrams to including checking temperature of room and making sure all lights are working and adjusted properly
· Responsible for breaking down function rooms after events; making sure the rooms are neat and clean, all tables, chairs and AV equipment are put back in its proper place
· Be familiar with and practice the safe handing care and storage of all banquet equipment
· Keeps the function room area and storage areas clean and neat at all times
· Perform other duties as assigned
