Job Summary

Responsible for prompt, courteous service to the banquet guests serving drinks and food as well as maintenance of the banquet areas.

JOB DUTIES:

• Always provides the highest quality of service to members.
• Serves food and beverage items by following proper club procedures.
• Clears tables and returns all equipment to their respective areas. Retrieve all reusable food items and return to respective areas.
• Gather all equipment necessary to service a function and maintain a clear and immaculate service corridor.
• Assist in moving tables and chairs as assigned.
• If assigned a cash bank, following all cash handling procedures as required.
• Verifies age of all guests. Do not serve guests that are intoxicated.
• Observes "clean as you go" method. Always cleans dishes, glasses, etc. from the tables immediately.
• At the end of shift makes sure all items are put away and secured.
• Serves food items according to department procedures.
• Before leaving, check with manager/supervisor to inspect work area.
• Assists management staff in proper liquor inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic skills in reading and writing.
• Minimum one-year experience as server in a banquet setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating professionally and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organization.
• Interact professionally with other employees, members and guests and work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
• Perform quality work within deadlines.
• Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends, or holidays
• Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs.
• Requires long periods of time standing, lifting, carrying trays, frequent bending and reaching.
• Essential hand/eye coordination.
• Frequent exposure to kitchen cooking smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, extreme cold.
• Communicates with grill cooks and other servers.
• Substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts from knives, slipping, tripping falls and burns.
• Frequent washing of hands will require contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items.

Physical Requirements

• Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends or holidays
• Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs. occasionally

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
