Position: Assistant Banquet Manager
Position Summary:
One of Metro Detroit’s premier event venues is seeking new members for the Banquet & Event Team. We focus on personalized service & exceptional cuisine.
We are in search of hard working and ambitious candidates who are detail oriented, highly skilled at multitasking and team players.
The position works with the Banquet Manager to be onsite and run all events held at the facility. Ranging from early morning corporate meetings and trade shows to evening weddings & galas.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Assist Banquet Manager in scheduling event staff & holding team accountable to responsibilities
Open & Close building with Events
Assign Table Sections & Prepare Daily Tasks for Event Staff
Oversee Regular deliveries of Kitchen & Banquet Department Items to ensure accuracy
Assist in training all event Staff
Preform Quality Checks on Ballrooms prior to Client arrival and Event start time
Setting up Audio Visual Equipment when needed
Oversee events from beginning to end
Assist with offsite Catering (Set Up, reviewing menu with Chef, delivery, staff scheduling, client walk through, tear down)
Assist other departments when needed
Attend BEO meetings with Banquet Manager & Sales Staff to ensure smooth transition & execution of all events.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 5 Years of Banquet Experience (Some Supervisor or Managerial Experience Preferred)
Open Availability for Nights & Weekends Required
