Position : Banquet Supervisor
Responsible for all bar setups according to standards, including all paperwork and liquor contents; distribution of banks to bar cashier and countdown at end of event and reconciliation of bar tickets.
Ordering and inventory of all alcohol.
Proper control and handling of A/V equipment.
Posts add-on charges to banquet checks and obtains guest signature.
Communicates linen needs to housekeeping and laundry.
May require work hours outside of normal working hours schedule.
Communicates with maintenance department regarding banquet equipment repair, safety issues and energy management.
Monitors banquet department uniform standards.
After service training, assists in ensuring staff continues to learn the importance of excellent service.
At times may lift and/or carry items weighing 15 to 60 pounds.
Wears proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Personal Appearance.
Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
Practices safety standards at all times.
Performs Manager on Duty activities as needed.
Communicates effectively with staff and with sales and food and beverage departments.
Manages contract with A/V vendor.
Develops creative displays as needed.
Adheres to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Handbook.
Other duties as assigned.
