JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for the management of all aspects of Banquet & Catering functions. Assists in daily operations of Restaurant and Bar when necessary. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy that serves as a guide to respective staff. Ability to receive direction and act upon it. Has a minimum of 2 years management experience. Possess technical ability and knowledge to give direction to staff and act on it.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Knowledge of activities and amenities of Pelican Lakes Golf Club and works closely with other departments to utilize the Club.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
- Anticipate the needs of the department and order whatever product is necessary to help associates perform their duties more efficiently and effectively.
- Train associates on standards of service in all components; Guarantee that all associates are maintaining levels of service in all facets of banquet & restaurant execution.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Responsible for the operation of Banquet Events
- Oversee hiring, training and scheduling of staff
- Assisting departmental supervisor(s) with inventory, orders, check-in and pricing.
- Works with team members in a variety of ways to assist with curatorial research, operations, security and educational programs.
- Attend BEO meetings & review with banquet chef/captains & sales
- Manage banquet charges, recaps & post con banquet notes
- Perform pre-shifts / uniform checks
- Linen order and service controls
- Proper training of cash handling and shift reporting
- Ensuring proper associate certifications (TIPS, ServSafe, Food Handlers Card)
- Purchase Order / Checkbook / Invoice processing control
- Payroll and pay period control and approval
- Able and willing to perform other tasks to maintain productive and successful work environment; complete and submit necessary paperwork, read posted notices; attend meetings and trainings.
- Maintains confidentiality of associates, departments and company practices.
- Other duties as reasonably requested
Expected Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 plus commission
