Just 12 miles south of Savannah, Georgia, Richmond Hill City Center is a LEED-certified, two-story venue with indoor and outdoor event spaces. Our 20,000 square-foot event space includes a 4,000 square-foot ballroom and 10 meeting rooms. Outdoors, there are 6,000 square feet of event space.
We are seeking a flexible, service- oriented individual for the Banquet Manager position. The Banquet Manager position will support the Conference Service Manager and Executive Chef to ensure a positive outcome for all events at the Richmond Hill City Center. Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees. The Banquet Manager must also demonstrate strong communication skills and superior leadership abilities. This position reports to the General Manager Responsibilities include:
· Coordinates and supervises the execution of all banquet functions to ensure clients specifications are adhered to
· Possesses knowledge of food production and service. Possesses the ability to perform all positions in banquet operations in order to supervise, direct, and train all banquet personnel.
· Directly supervises banquet personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews.
· Responsible for completing the Banquet Schedule weekly with review of budget considerations.
· The Banquet Manager will be responsible for following Banquet service Standards and creating additional standards for banquet staff to follow that will enhance the guest experience.
· Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food and beverage, and audiovisual services for the banquet department
· Maintains inventory par levels and ensures protection of RHCC banquet and property assets through thorough staff training on SOPs.
· Banquet Manager is responsible for loss prevention on items borrowed by clients such as audiovisual equipment, Ladders, vacuum cleaners, vases etc.
· Provide a consistently high standard of service in areas such as meeting set-ups, room turns, registration areas and all meal functions related to group.
· Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
· Respond to any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies that pertain to banquets and the functionality of the banquets
· Responsible for ordering of weekly linens
· Effectively responds to customer feedback onsite with follow up to Conference Service Manager and General Manager as needed.
· Participation in departmental meetings, interdepartmental meetings including BEO meetings as scheduled
· Adheres to all environmental policies and procedure as required (LEED, USGBC)
· Oversees beverage operations. Includes but not limited to Inventory, safety and loss prevention of the Beverage department.
· The Banquet Manager is responsible for upselling items on the banquet floor and recording items in system.
· The Banquet Manager with help from banquet staff is responsible for keeping all meeting rooms and public areas utilized by meeting clean and refreshed through the day.
· Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Requirements:
Must have a Minimum of 2 years banquet server history
Must have 1 year banquet Manager History preferred but not required
Must be able to use basic Microsoft Office programs and be willing to learn new systems,
Familiarity with sales and catering systems such as Tripleseat
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
This position requires long standing hours.
This position requires Flexible schedule with many evening shifts
ServeSafe Certified is not required but preferred
TIPS Certified not required but preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
