Assistant Chef
We are seeking a Full-Time Assistant Chef to support our Executive Chef in our

Food & Beverage Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef with day-to-day operations and food and beverage activities
• Prepare food and supervise foodservice staff in absence of Executive Chef
• Plan menus and food prep, place food orders and keep records as directed
• Maintain high standards of quality and detail with preparing a vast range of prepared foods, including sandwiches and salads, box lunches, catering foods, fine dining meals, and grill items
• Work in the 19th Hole Bar & Grill, special events held on-site, and catering activities off-site, and maintain flexibility to switch between roles in these areas
• Inspect facilities and equipment daily for health code upkeep while maintaining standards of food safety & cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment
• Able to be forward-facing with customers in food and beverage counter sales, including operating point-of-sale
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year restaurant/hotel or banquet cooking experience in a position of responsibility such as prep cook, line cook, sous chef, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of gourmet foods and specialty dishes preferred
• 21 years of age and be able to obtain an alcohol serving permit for the State of Indiana
• Availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must provide references and complete an application
