REPORTS TO: Director of Food & Beverage & Director of Events

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Leadership and Coordination: Supervise banquet staff and provide guidance, support, and training as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of banquet policies, procedures, and standards.
• Guest Service: Address any guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed expectations.
• Staff Management & Training: Monitor staff performance, providing feedback, and working with Dining Room Supervisors and Director of Food & Beverage to implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Menu Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the dining menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, wine pairings, and house cocktails. Assist members and guests in making informed menu choices and provide recommendations as needed.
• Order Taking: Accurately take guests’ food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff. Relay orders promptly and accurately to the kitchen.
• Event Setup: Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring all aspects of the event meet the club’s standards of quality and service.
• Beverage Service: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and guidelines. Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other waitstaff members to ensure smooth and timely service. Communicate member feedback and special requests to the relevant teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in banquet or event operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on exceeding guest expectations.
• Proficiency in wine and beverage service etiquette.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a polished appearance.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:

• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Ability to perform the duties of this job while exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.
