About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Syndication Vice President.
Commercial Banking Syndicated Finance ('CBSF') is the loan syndication team that helps originate, structure and distribute pro-rata cash flow loans and Asset Based Loans for
clients across a broad range of industries; enabling customers to leverage their cash flow and assets into flexible financing solutions. Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigation and compliance-driven culture that firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
CBSF partners with bankers across Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking and Investment Banking to support deal origination and structuring efforts as well as develop and execute the distribution strategy. The Vice President will lead the syndication process for new transactions, including lender engagement and deal execution. The Vice President will be expected to develop an understanding of the debt capital bank markets, especially the pro-rata and asset-based markets.. He or she will develop and maintain relationships with syndicate lenders, internal product partners, and relationship managers. The Vice President must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively. This position requires a strong work ethic and excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
In this role, you will:-
Collaborate with deal teams to structure proposals and develop pitch materials to win new mandates and maintain portfolio leads

Manage the syndication execution process, including preparation and distribution of syndication materials including information memorandums, presentations, and timelines

Lead discussions with lending partners on new syndication opportunities
-
Communicate feedback to deal teams and clients on the syndication process

Work closely with legal counsel to address legal documentation issues

Work closely with deal teams and internal partners to manage the execution and funding processes
-
Develop and maintaining lending partner relationships
-
Oversea the distribution of compliance reporting to ensure syndicate banks are receiving the necessary information; and

Support and develop junior team members
This role includes direct interaction with lending partners and clients. Loan Syndications also interacts with Credit, relationship managers, and other syndication teams within the organization
Required Qualifications:-
5 years of Client Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:-
Minimum of 4 years of front office or credit experience at a major firm with a focus in finance

Experience in loan syndications, debt capital markets, or private debt market and/or
-
experience in structured finance or investment banking

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math or Economics (or MBA)

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-
Analytical thinker. Able to make decisions and recommendations that are well reasoned
-
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
-
Credit underwriting experience
-
Experience with originating and monitoring pro-rata cash flow facilities, asset-based facilities, or other structured products
-
Familiarity with private equity funds
-
Experience reading, negotiating, and/or interpreting legal documents
-
Leadership experience and/or experience training others in a relevant professional capacity
-
Extremely detail oriented
-
High level of personal motivation. Does more than what is asked for and anticipates questions/issues

Direct client interaction experience, including some experience interacting with senior decision makers
-
Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining excellence and consistency of work. Ability to quickly change focus and stay organized is a must

Formal credit training program
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Pay Range
$120,400.00 - $262,600.00
