Donut Crazy is currently looking to fill a few Production positions. Donut Crazy is looking for a few Production workers who are willing to learn, motivated, energetic, dedicated, dependable, accountable, committed, passionate, creative, loyal and able to work on their own, as well as be a team player to join our small FAST PACED team of creative donut makers. Donut Crazy Foodservice kitchen is currently located in Stratford, CT
Additional Requirements
*Must pass any and all required background checks *Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry *Must possess valid driver's license or valid State ID *Must be a 18 years of age or older *Must have Bakery or Kitchen experience. Will train right person. *Must be able to work weekends (a must).
Job Hours: Monday - Sunday 9am-5:30pm including holidays. Must be able to work weekends
Pay: Based on experience $17.00-$19.00 an hour (negotiable)
Job Description:
Persons will be responsible for multiple products that come out of the Donut Crazy Foodservice kitchen. This includes the preparation, finishing, and store fulfillment of all yeast and cake donuts, donut cakes, cinnamon rolls, baked items (Muffins, scones, turnovers, etc.), mini donuts, glazing, frosting, piping and filling of donuts and any special order requests that come through the kitchen, but not limited to frying, baking, cutting, mixing, packaging, cleaning, and stocking of incoming and exiting stock.
Floor Responsibilities:
*Preparing all ingredients necessary for donut/pastry production *Prepare and mix all mixes for yeast and cake donuts and or pastries/finished products *Prepare all workstations for efficient workflow
- Accuracy is needed in weighing ingredients, measuring liquids, time needed for mixing, baking, and frying of donuts/pastries
- Complete each recipe to specific specs given in recipe book/wall.
- Making sure donuts/pasties are weighing out to the specifications set forth by Donut Crazy on both raw and finished product.
- Setting up / Monitoring/setting proofer, water mixer, mixers, sheeter, fryer, oven, and other equipment to guarantee all settings are correct.
- Frosting, sugaring, coating, piping, and filling all donuts per assignment on given evening. To Donut Crazy specifications and time expectations
- Finishing the required quantities of all products each store orders in the time frames (expectations) set forth by Donut Crazy.
- Record shortages, overages, and communicate discrepancies to Supervisor and or Manager.
- Sticking to the proper production schedule and time expectations set forth by Donut Crazy to ensure the least waste possible and ensure the freshest quality of donuts.
- Always maintain a clean and sanitized working station and environment
- Everyone is responsible for restocking, making notes on items needed, and the execution of placing items that may have come in throughout the day in their appropriate places.
- Workstations on both the production and finishing sides of the kitchen should be left in a clean, ready to work manner.
Equipment Operation:
- Adhering to the operations and safety of the donut-making machine, proofer, sheeter, cutter, fryers, glazers, jelly pumps/hoppers, dishwasher, soup kettle, stove, racks, trays, carts scales, etc. and adhering to the company’s equipment safety and equipment use standards.
- Being able to utilize and execute basic trouble-shooting and problem-solving steps on equipment.
- Practice preventative maintenance (cleaning and maintenance schedules will be posted). The logging and or fixing of any problems should be reported to manager/supervisor as they arise.
Safety and Sanitation:
*Maintaining a clean and neat uniform always. *Following proper Hygiene. *Wearing of Non-slip shoes to always be in good not worn out condition. *Pants in clean good condition. No rips or tears. *No jewelry (bracelets, no rings (only a wedding band allowed) no hanging necklaces and no facial jewelry) *All hair covered when working on floor either by hat or hairnet *Facial hair needs a beard net. *Absolutely no Acrylic nails or nail polish allowed. Nails must always be cut and clean *Practicing of “clean as you go” techniques to maintain a clean work area.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time $17.00 - $19.00 per hour (negotiable)
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $17.00 - $19.00/hour.
