We are seeking an energetic, qualified individual to join our growing team. Our primary focus is on the development and distribution of software to help small businesses automate their accounting systems. We specialize in making the accounting process simpler and faster, operating with the customers’ needs in mind.

This position is geared toward Accountants who have an interest in technology. The position allows Accounting Professionals to get out of the day-to-day accounting, and operate at an advanced level to help customers with their accounting questions. As an Accounting Advisor on our team, you will assist in the training and support of our accounting software via the Internet to customers across the nation. This candidate must have a degree in accounting and possess strong help desk skills along with experience in rapidly diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving client issues. A good working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or other small business accounting software is helpful. Good organizational and communication skills are a must, along with a friendly and positive attitude.

What you will be doing:

The advantage of working for a smaller company is greater flexibility in taking on roles and expanding your influence into other areas of the company. The basic roles of this position are included below but may be expanded upon based on the applicant's knowledge base and interest.

• Analyze customers’ accounting needs relative to the integration of their point of sale and accounting software programs
• Answer customer calls and remotely access their computers to: Reconcile account balances, discuss best practices in accordance with GAAP, resolve software errors as it relates to customers’ accounting setup, and install or update software
• Provide assistance to management and development team as needed
• Document instructions, fixes, error resolutions, etc. for knowledge base from support case activity
• Assist in quality assurance processes as needed

• Accounting degree or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including the ability to analyze transactions and determine the appropriate credit and debit entries required
• Strong general ledger reconciliation skills with attention to detail

• Ability to facilitate customer’s continued learning of accounting principles and best practices while promoting self-sufficiency
• Ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and document user help requests efficiently and effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written), and to recognize and respond appropriately to the skill level and demeanor of the customer
• Detail-oriented and analytical with solid organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
