Aviation Manager manages overall aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Aviation Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

    • Inspects airline equipment and checks for any unauthorized items.
    • Screens cargo using equipment/method designated by customer and according to customer's specifications.
    • Performs aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding and gate guarding according to customer's specifications.
    • Observes and monitors unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection/validation duties.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
    • Reports to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on size of unit.
    • Activities overseen by Lead or Senior Lead, depending on size of unit.

    Salary Range:

    • $19 per hour

    Education:

    • High school diploma or GED

    Requirements:

    • Must be a Registered Security Guard with the NY Department of State
    • Must be fully COVID-19 Vaccinated
    • New employees required to complete an FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and a confirmed 10-year background check (10 year listed; 5 year verified)
    • Not have been convicted of any of the listed FAA Disqualifying Crimes;.
    • Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Hold a valid U.S. driver's license
    • US Citizen

    • Possess written and oral communication skills in English.

    Environmental Requirements:

    • Works non standard work hours, evenings, weekends, holidays.
